Netaji Subhas-ICAR International Fellowships

The ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) provides the Netaji Subhas-ICAR international fellowships for Indian students to study overseas. The fellowship program can also be applied by international students who wish to pursue an agricultural course in India. The duration of the program is for three years. The candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in agriculture and allied sciences and should have secured an overall GPA score of 65%. 


Eligibility Criteria

The (Indian and international) applicants should meet the following criteria:

Should hold a MA degree in agriculture and allied sciences

Should have an overall GPA score of 65%

Should not be more than 35 years of age at the time of application. However, candidates serving at the ICAR-AU system are eligible to apply until 40 years of age.


Scholarship Benefits

For Indian students studying overseas:

ICAR will cover the economy flight tickets of Indian students travelling from their nearest airport to the place of their residence or university The ICAR will give a scholarship amount of USD 2,000 every month.

The scholarship also offers USD 1,000 per annum as contingent expenses to the selected candidates. 


For international students studying in India:

The institution will cover economy flight tickets of the international students

The international students will receive INR 40,000 per month

They will also receive INR 25,000 per annum as contingent expenses
